HARMONY

All the elements of the photo go well together creating harmony.

RHYTHM

The repeating sequence of raindrops creates a circular motion to indicate
movement, and to insure us something is happening.

PROPORTION

The fisherman and the fish are being compared to one another,
because of there difference in size.
If one were by itself it would have little or no meaning.

EMPHASIS

Pic:Emphasis-Isolation

In this picture, all the objects are closely together, except
for one. This was done to allow your eyes to emphasize on
one object that stands alone.

SYMMETRICAL BALANCE

This building is symmetrical in size and shape.
The photo is therefore balanced and gives off a stable look.

ASYMMETRICAL BALANCE

In this drawing, all the trees look the same, however
trees to the left are small, and the tree to the right is big.
This image gives us the impression that
it is balanced, because the smaller trees are farther
away from the larger one. However, in reality if you split the
picture in half it would not be symmetrical and it wouldnt balance,
therefore it would be asymmetrical.

LINE

Lines in this drawing, go loose, free, straight, sharp, and in
almost every direction.
They create a repetition of patterns and designs.

SHAPE

The buildings have a geometric form.
The windows of the building take a
square form, and therefore gives the building
a more stable look.

TEXTURE

The rough edges of the rock give us the impression
of how it would feel, if it were to be touched.

COLOUR

I chose this photo because it shows the
representation of a variety of colours.
